Yes. In the first call we clarify the task, the framework and the next steps. It is non-binding and free. Fees arise only once you commission us, and you will know their amount in writing beforehand.

Within one business day you receive a personal reply, not an automated acknowledgement, but an answer on the substance or a proposed appointment. For formal RFPs and tender documents we give a qualified response within five business days.

Yes. Correspondence, meetings, reports and site documentation can all be in English. Formal submissions to a German authority must be in German, and the drawings and the Bauantrag are therefore produced in German, we supply the English version alongside so that you can read what is being filed in your name.

After a short scoping call we quote a fixed fee, so you know the price before you commit. Our digital pre-checks are published at fixed prices, currently 79 € bis 350 € including German VAT. For design services we work within the framework of the HOAI, the German fee structure for architects and engineers.

The contracting party is Alpha Quadrat Bauplanung & Projektmanagement UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a German limited company registered in the commercial register at Wuppertal Local Court (Amtsgericht Wuppertal), HRB 37161. Responsibility for design work lies with our registered architect, a member of the Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen.

For design services we take out professional indemnity insurance before the first design commission, and you receive the certificate before the contract is concluded. We do not begin design work without cover in place.

Our office is in Wuppertal. We work throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, from the Bergisches Land through the Ruhr area to the Rhineland, and beyond it by arrangement. For projects outside Germany we work together with a licensed local architect of record; see the international page.

Partly. A desk review of drawings, the permit file and photographs gives a well-founded first picture and is often enough to decide whether to proceed. It does not replace an inspection: moisture, structural movement and the condition of building services are not reliably assessed from documents. We will say which of the two your question needs.

Yes, as a matter of course, and before you send us anything substantive if you prefer. Discretion is part of the work in this industry; we do not name clients or projects publicly without their consent.
